Full job description

Sportsman Boats Mfg. is looking for Assembly Associates to work in the finished assembly department, wiring, installing motors and cushions, capping, rigging, and finishing our 20-35 ft center console boats. This is a full-time position. Our production schedule is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Hours may vary to meet production goals.

What you will do:

  • Pull wires, install equipment like Yamaha outboards, Garmin systems, stereo components, navigation systems, and other hardware to specification, meeting high-quality standards

  • Use basic hand tools and power equipment (miter saw, reciprocating saw, drill, driver, etc.)

  • Build T-tops and consoles

  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality

  • Follow safety procedures

  • Maintain area tools and equipment

  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing schedules

  • Able to read and understand units of measure

  • Physically able to climb in and out of boats

  • Work as a part of a team in a fast-paced production environment

  • Be challenged and have fun along the way

To be considered, you must have:

  • Experience with air, hand, and power tools

  • Experience in boating, automotive, electrical, carpentry, or other related fields

  • Ability to climb in and out of boats, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours per day
