Perform all duties necessary to the efficient operation of all equipment in the plant. Operate and maintain plant equipment in accordance with standard work and building procedures.

  • Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements

  • Must be able to use computer programs to assist in recording data, making labels, printing tooling layouts, obtaining prints and specifications, printing ship-sets, etc.

  • Set-up, adjust, and operate Multiple Spindle Automatic Screw Machines on a variety of parts, involving machining techniques such as setting attachments, turning, threading, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving, reaming, etc.

  • Must be capable of working from blueprints, operation sheets, or specifications in selecting cutting tools, gears, and cams

  • Check one’s own set-up using a variety of precision measuring instruments

  • Make necessary adjustments to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain

  • Check the parts produced with a variety of precision measuring instruments, and maintain tool and machine adjustments and sharpen and reset tool as required

  • Be accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis

  • Promote positive teamwork

  • Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers

  • Ability to work overtime, including short-notice overtime and weekend coverage to meet business needs

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Completion of a formal training program, such as V-TIP or equivalent with certificate of competency

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of setting up and operating Multiple Spindle Screw Machine preferred
