The Opportunity

We are currently building a talent pool for future Cloud Services opportunities across Engineer to Lead levels within our team. This is an opportunity to be considered for upcoming roles and contribute to shaping the future of Sysco’s customer experience from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design ing and Develop ing cloud management applications for the organization and documentation of Environment, Product and Service BPP

• Leverag ing on Cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture (Infrastructure, applications, and data technologies)

• Act ing as SME for our multi-cloud multi-OS infrastructure services transformation process, creating architecture standards and processes for environment provisioning and deployment of applications

• Collaborat ing with product engineering teams to architect, design and develop secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments with the lowest total cost of ownership

• Taking r esponsib ility for the evaluation of technical risks and map ping out mitigation strategies while exce l ling in well-architected framework designs and best practices in AWS, GCP and Azure to promote cloud -n ative solutions to product engineering teams instead of lift and shift

• Taking r esponsib i l ity for Cloud Identity and Access Management, and Cloud G overnance (Implement ing and enforc ing cloud best practices and compliance)

• Guid ing and mentor ing junior team members and always keep ing a lookout for cloud - related technologies/trends and improv ing our knowledgebase and engineering standards through documentation

• Providing solutions to problems, and helping teams troubleshoot any issues in a timely manner

• Work ing with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, AWS Systems Manager, Cloud Formation, and Kubernetes for cloud operation work on AWS, GCP and Azure

• Ensur ing the security and compliance of all Sysco’s infrastructure, data, applications, and configurations

• Cloud adoption/migration strategies implementation for the Organization

• Troubleshoot ing and resolv ing Windows OS - related incidents and problems according to customer processes

• Desig ning /Develop ing PowerShell Scripts for Automation of Operational Process es , where appropriate

• Setting up and managing Windows Active Directory experience inclusive of managing GPOs and user profiles

Requirements

• Should have a successful track record in architecting, designing, implementing, and systems and infrastructure in a cloud computing environment including multi-cloud hybrid architectures

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent ;  MSc or relevant postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage

• for Engineer - 1-2 Years, for Senior Engineer 2-4 Years, Associate Lead - 4-6 Years and for Lead   6-8 years of experience developing production enterprise applications

• A s olid understanding of different cloud environments and applications, including hybrid scenarios, optimizing cost/ capacity ratios, scaling, implementing, and validating database and DR scenarios, security, and compliance

• Knowledge of cloud security controls including conditional access policies, tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, federated authentication vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.

• A v ery good understanding of scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash and PowerShell, JavaScript and infrastructure automation and configuration tools such as Terraform

• A p roven track record on Cloud - to - Cloud and On -p rem to Cloud Migrations

• Very good communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical outcomes and opinions while listening to others ’ point s of view

• Strong oral, written, and presentation abilities, able to convey risk to all levels of the business, from executives to operations and development teams

• Expert knowledge in Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Management, AD security, DFS, FRS, AD troubleshooting

• A sound u nderstanding of monitoring best practices, and compliance with best practices for security and operation
