Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Articulated Dump Truck Operator to support a large-scale roadway and civil construction project at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. This individual is responsible for operating off-road articulated haul trucks to transport soil, aggregate, rock, and excavated materials throughout the construction site. The ideal candidate has experience operating large off-road haul trucks such as CAT, Volvo, Bell, or John Deere articulated dump trucks in heavy civil, earthwork, or roadway construction environments. This is a fully on-site opportunity requiring 5, 8–10-hour shifts daily.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Safely operate articulated dump trucks on active construction sites

  • Haul excavation spoils, fill material, aggregate, gravel, and other construction materials between work areas

  • Work closely with excavator, dozer, loader, grader, and compaction crews to maintain production goals

  • Navigate uneven terrain, haul roads, excavation areas, and active earthwork operations safely

  • Complete pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections

  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance issues promptly

  • Follow designated haul routes and site traffic plans

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, USACE, and company safety standards

  • Assist with general site operations as needed

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience operating articulated dump trucks

  • Experience working on heavy civil, roadway, site development, mining, or earthwork projects

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check • Experience working on federal construction projects

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certified
