Job Title: CNC Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Manager

Shift: Second Shift 1:00PM -11:00PM Monday through Thursday

About the Role:

As a CNC Machinist 1 at Micro Precision, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality precision components. Your primary responsibility will be to operate CNC machines, ensuring that all parts are manufactured to exact specifications and tolerances. You will be expected to interpret technical drawings and blueprints, translating them into precise machining operations. Additionally, you will monitor the machining process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations and the satisfaction of our clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in CNC machining or a related field.

  • Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of programming CNC machines using G-code or similar languages.

  • Experience with quality control processes and inspection techniques.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to established procedures and specifications.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining operations.

  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any defects encountered.

  • Other duties as responsibilities necessitate
