Manageable Caseload & Strong Support ??
This position offers an exceptional level of support for incoming teachers:
-
Current class size of 9-10 students
-
Caseload capped at 14 students
-
Approximately 9-10 annual IEPs throughout the school year
-
First IEP scheduled for mid-September
-
Only two triennial reevaluations anticipated in the spring
-
District support provided for IEPs, SEIS documentation, processes, procedures, and meetings
Job Responsibilities
-
Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities.
-
Develop and implement IEPs that support student growth and achievement.
-
Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, and families.
-
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning.
-
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
-
Valid state teaching certification as required by California and district regulations.
-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
-
Previous teaching experience preferred.
-
Special Education teaching credential preferred.
-
Compliance with all applicable professional standards.
-
Current CPR, TB screening, and health certifications as required.
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
-
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Compensation ??

$50/hour
-
Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,875

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
-
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
-
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
