Full job description

Utility Worker II – Solids Handling Facility

The Ocean County Utilities Authority, a public wastewater treatment facility consisting of three treatment plants and 40 pumping stations, is presently seeking a Utility Worker II – Solids Handling Facility. The position is located in Bayville, NJ.

The employee will operate and perform routine maintenance on the Authority’s solids, refuse and transport vehicles. In addition, the employee will assist the Solids Handling Foreman with the operation and maintenance of the department, which includes refuse removal or general labor. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be able to follow directions and perform heavy manual labor. A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The position requires the applicant/employee to pass a pulmonary function test and baseline physical.
