Overview    

 

 

Piedmont Henry Emergency Department 

 

  • 75000-90000 visits per year 

  • Licensed for 59 beds 

  • 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio 

  • Level III trauma center 

  • Triage and Assessment of patient complaint 

  • Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment 

  • Appropriate Drug Therapy 

  • Management of critically ill patients 

  • Patient discharge education  

  • Fully Accredited Stroke Center  

  • Recently added 18 bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with ED 

  • Multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access.   

 

Responsibilities Continuous collaboration with the Clinical Manager to ensure consistent supervision of the staff. Qualifications Education

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting Required

  • Participation in continuing education and maintenance of current knowledge for the care of patients in assigned unit(s) Required

  • Previous supervisory experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required and

  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
