Full job description

This position is located at Hunter Aquatics, Hunter Army Airfield, GA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. Current certification in Lifeguarding or Lifeguarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent. The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment: Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification In addition, for facilities that use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty: AED and O2 Administration ALL CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE UPLODED AT THE TIME OF APPLIATION. Assist the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Assist with the planning and administering a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established aquatic activities. Assist manager in planning and establishing aquatic certification curriculum to include lifeguarding, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, water fitness instructor and other safety, fitness and recreational certification. Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events. Assist with the process to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Assist with program objectives. Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies. Assists the aquatic manager with data collection for the DOD and DA MWR standard reports. Assists and advises guests of available programs and responds to concerns. Represents the program department. Performs other duties as assigned.
