Job Description
Your team:The Sun is one of the UK’s strongest brands and, like all media organisations,
is growing in a fast-moving digital world. The Sun is more than a newspaper. It is an instigator, an entertainer, a cultural reference point, a finger on the pulse, a daily relationship. The Sun product team owns several digital products across the brand, including; Sun Savers, Sun Web and Mobile Apps, and the Sun Classic digital newspaper.
Your role:Working in the Sun product team, you will be working closely with the team on building out a roadmap for our web products. From discovery to implementation, you will be playing back to core stakeholders on the progress and future plans, in collaboration with our Product team.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to implement features and improvements that are in line with the overall product strategy, using data at the heart of your decisions, assessing value where possible.
You will be part of a product team that will support you in delivering the product roadmap and supporting the Head of Product and Principle Product Managers in shaping the future of our products.
Your key responsibilities include:

Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform vision, making trade-offs explicit and maintaining momentum across your workstream.

Help manage the product roadmap across your given area, providing options to stakeholder groups in order to gain approval.

Closely work with the wider Technology teams to ensure they have an understanding of requirements at an early stage.

End to end management and delivery of products in line with business and product strategy.

Manage relationships with other teams throughout the organisation that are required to ensure successful product deliveries.
What we’re looking for from you:

Proven experience and track record of leading digital product teams within a fast-paced media, publishing, or consumer tech environment.

Deep understanding of WordPress.

Skilled communicator, confident engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Excellent organisational skills, comfortable managing multiple priorities and evolving requirements.

Strong analytical and storytelling skills: use data to drive decisions and inspire teams.

Passion for news, media, and storytelling.
