Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is an international company that collects and fractionates blood plasma to produce and distribute plasma-derived therapeutic products for us in treating and preventing serious diseases, disorders and conditions such as Hemophilia, Primary Immune System Deficiencies and Rh-Sensitization.

This internship is out of our Durham, NC office

Launch your legal career with a global biopharmaceutical leader. Join a sophisticated, highly collaborative Legal Department supporting a rapidly growing international organization, with key legal team members—including the Global General Counsel—based in Durham, North Carolina. This hybrid internship offers an exceptional opportunity for a current law student to gain hands-on experience in corporate compliance, regulatory licensing, and business operations while working directly with experienced legal professionals. The internship is designed for approximately 6–8 hours per week and provides meaningful exposure to a wide range of legal and business functions.

What you'll do

  • Lead a primary legal compliance project focused on analyzing state and local registration and licensing requirements for the company's three U.S.-based legal entities.

  • Research and assess general business registration obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Review state Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements related to the distribution of pharmaceutical products.

  • Analyze state-level manufacturing license requirements and identify potential compliance gaps.

  • Support efforts to bring legal entities into compliance by helping address missing registrations, permits, or licenses.

  • Assist in developing sustainable processes and tracking mechanisms to support ongoing regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with experienced legal professionals on complex business and regulatory matters.

  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings in a clear, business-focused manner.

  • Prepare written analyses, reports, and recommendations for internal stakeholders.

  • Gain exposure to the legal and operational needs of a growing global biopharmaceutical organization.

  • Participate in additional legal projects as business needs arise, with potential opportunities to support commercial, regulatory, human resources, and plasma-collection activities.

  • Work in a hybrid environment from the Durham, NC office while partnering with colleagues across multiple functions and locations.

Qualifications and need-to-know

  • Current law school student located near Durham, North Carolina.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information and support business needs.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy.

  • Proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related productivity tools, including Outlook, SharePoint, Copilot, and Adobe products.

  • Availability to work approximately 6–8 hours per week in a hybrid work arrangement.
