What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at municipal facilities and surrounding public areas.

• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate city personnel and/or emergency services when needed.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
