Clinic Nurse (New Port Richey)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Clinic Nurse for a direct hire opportunity in the New Port Richey, FL area. This resource will be providing direct patient care in accordance with company policies with established standards of nursing practices. You'll also handle some case management and be able to balance with treating patients and traige. You'll screen patients with signs or symptoms of illness as well as work with the clinical team for appropriate treatment and plan of care and disposition. You will assist the care manager and provider in follow up management and post hospitalized/post-emergency room visits. You'll povide condition specific patient education and anticipatory guidance, as well as care coordination, under the guidance of the Provider and/or Registered Nurse. Other responsibilities include; maintaining clinical documentation within the medical records assuring compliance within all guidelines. Providing health teaching and providing direct nursing care, comfort measures, emotional support to patients.

Additional responsibilities:

• Comprehensively screens patients for care opportunities and collaborates with treating physician to identify referrals to care management.

• Executes orders of Provider based on knowledge of cause and effect of order after verifying accuracy.

• Performs selected IV therapy and administers prescribed treatment per Provider order.

• Documents all interventions, responses, and outcomes.    

• Initiates standard emergency procedures until Registered Nurse, Provider or EMS is available. 

• Applies principles of asepsis and infection control.    

• Compliance with Company’s Code of Conduct, HIPAA regulations and the Florida Patient’s Bill of Rights. 

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have consistent, punctual and reliable attendance.

• Ability to travel as necessary based on business need.

Skills and Requirements

Valid Florida RN license

Associates or Bachelors degree in science field

Experience in case management

2-5 years of experience in med-surg, ER, ICU, or acute care

Experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED 5+ years of experience
