Behavior Technician – School-Based Role

Schedule: 32.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday, school hours)

Pay: $23–$25/hour

Location: School settings (supporting children and young adults with special needs)

About the Role

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with special needs by implementing educational and behavioral interventions that promote growth, independence, and success in the classroom. You’ll work closely with teachers, school staff, and behavioral specialists to help students achieve individualized learning and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students in classroom and school settings

Implement individualized behavior support plans and skill-building programs

Collect and document data on student progress and behaviors

Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals

Support students in developing communication, social, and daily living skills

Maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience (preferred)

Current CPR certification (if applicable)

TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
