Who we are

Physical Intelligence is bringing general-purpose AI into the physical world. We are a group of engineers, scientists, roboticists, and company builders developing foundation models and learning algorithms to power the robots of today and the physically-actuated devices of the future.

In this role you will

  • Own the roadmap for one or more Research Operations product areas.

  • Define and improve the systems that govern intake, prioritization, resource allocation, execution visibility, quality management, and operational planning to create a world-class researcher experience.

  • Partner with engineers to design, build, and launch tools that increase operational efficiency and improve user experience.

  • Work closely with Strategic Project Leads to identify recurring execution bottlenecks and convert manual workflows into scalable systems.

  • Establish operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that improve decision-making and visibility.

  • Drive process standardization where appropriate while preserving flexibility for research work.

  • Partner with Production Operations to improve throughput, staffing visibility, training systems, and execution quality.

  • Collaborate with researchers to understand workflow pain points and operational needs.

  • Translate ambiguous operational challenges into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.

  • Continuously evaluate operational performance and prioritize investments that create the greatest organizational leverage.
