Full job description
This SUPPLY TECHNICIAN position, is located in the Property Management Branch, Supply and Services Division, United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) and is part of the CA USPFO Army. SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-06 level experience in a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc; consistent with the grade level determining duties in the position description, higher grade level specialized experience may include experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience completing complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Contracting/Procurement Inventory Management Manages and Organizes Information Supply Planning THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7, is to monitor the accountable equipment within the State and maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for property book equipment to include providing data to the Continuing Balance System - Expanded (CBS-X). May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Security clearance required: Secret
Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. (Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the California National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Army CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment). Military Grades: E-1 through E-7 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives.
