Job Description

Are you ready to develop and implement building and property maintenance strategies to enhance the occupancy experience for Spectrum employees and visitors? As the Director, Corporate Workplace and Facilities Management, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, supporting comprehensive service delivery in collaboration with Corporate Services. You will focus on integrated facilities management, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of property services and building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems. Additionally, you will develop a leadership team and assist in cultivating a high-performance culture that delivers exceptional outcomes.
How You'll Make an Impact
Create facilities operational strategies to optimize customer experience, function, reliability, and cost across corporate locations
Plan and execute property reinvestment strategies to maintain value and meet performance, safety, and reliability needs.
Lead and support best-in-class facilities management practices to deliver efficient and optimized property operations, including managing expense and capital budgets aligned with the Total Cost of Occupancy methodology
Establish life safety/emergency preparedness programs, coordinating with key operational groups
Collaborate with internal business partners to deliver a comprehensive occupancy experience and optimize portfolios and planning
Develop positive relationships with internal leaders and external service providers to drive results that enhance occupancy experience
Lead and develop employees in a direct reporting relationship, monitor team performance and productivity, provide frequent feedback to optimize the mission of a Facilities Management Center of Excellence
Utilize KPIs and performance metrics to support operational improvement strategies
Lead sourcing strategies and develop real estate operational best practices both locally and across the entire Spectrum real estate portfolio
Ensure consistency of experience, processes and tools across their managed portfolio and in balance with other Corporate managed portfolios

This position requires full-time, on-site presence with no remote or hybrid work options
20% Travel
Potential overnight, multi-night travel to offices in market areas/out-of-town
Available for after hour emergencies
What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Property management designation such as RPA or CPM or equivalent experience
Experience
10+ years of commercial real estate facilities, property management or similar experience
7+ years of moderately complex real estate portfolio experience - office and multi-use properties
5+ years of management/supervisory experience
Skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties, supervise and motivate others, handle multiple projects, plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Demonstrated business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business results
Effective organizational and office management skills and computer skills including Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing multi-site corporate, retail, and other facilities operations
Experience with capital projects, renovations, and workplace planning
Experience with CMMS, IWMS, or other facilities technology platforms
Professional certification such as CFM, FMP, SFP, BOMI, or PMP
Knowledge of sustainability, energy management, and workplace strategy
Experience leading vendor performance programs and service-level reporting
