Audit Manager - Public

Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan, within the financial services industry. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage audit engagements across various industries, providing strategic insights and building strong client relationships. Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients across diverse industries.

• Develop audit strategies, manage project budgets, and ensure timely completion of engagements.

• Perform financial statement and 401(k) audits, particularly for private equity clients.

• Conduct assessments of risks and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Offer consulting insights and address complex accounting challenges with innovative solutions.

• Deliver exceptional client service by building and maintaining trusted relationships.

• Manage the firm’s peer review process to uphold quality standards.

• Ensure all audit processes align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Supervise and mentor audit staff to support their growth and development. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.

• CPA certification is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in auditing within a regional firm.

• Comprehensive understanding of auditing practices, controls, and methodologies.

• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and client expectations.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software such as Accounting CS, UltraTax CS, and QuickBooks.
