Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care

Paid Dialysis Training | $8,000 Sign-On Bonus

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospital Services team at UPMC Passavant.

No dialysis experience required - we will train you.

This is a great opportunity for an RN looking to expand their clinical skills, transition into a specialty area, or build experience in acute hospital-based care. DCI provides up to 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training with an experienced preceptor to prepare you for success in acute dialysis nursing.

As an Acute Care RN , you will provide specialized care to hospitalized patients experiencing acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease. You'll work closely with nephrologists, hospital staff, and other members of the care team while developing valuable experience in renal nursing and dialysis treatment.

Schedule

  • Full-time

  • Four 10-hour shifts

  • Shifts begin at 6:30 a.m.

  • Includes on-call responsibilities and travel between assigned hospital sites

Compensation

$33-$44 per hour , based on nursing experience $8,000 Sign-On Bonus

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct nursing care to hospitalized patients receiving dialysis

  • Prepare, operate, and monitor dialysis and water-treatment equipment

  • Complete pre-, intra-, and post-treatment patient assessments

  • Initiate, monitor, and complete dialysis treatments according to established policies and procedures

  • Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered

  • Review laboratory results and communicate relevant findings to nephrologists and the care team

  • Receive and implement physician orders

  • Educate patients and families about renal disease and dialysis treatment

  • Collaborate with nephrologists, hospital staff, outpatient dialysis centers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow DCI and hospital policies and procedures

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Pennsylvaniaor Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team

  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to nursing

  • Willingness to learn acute dialysis nursing - dialysis experience is not required
