Stinson LLP is seeking an associate attorney with zero to one year of experience in Employee Benefits (ERISA) to join our Minneapolis office.

The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:

Excellent research, writing, analytical skills, and academics; and

A genuine, demonstrated interest in employee benefits and executive compensation.

Experience or knowledge related to qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ESOPs, health and welfare plans, or the related ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and IRC Section 409A rules potentially applicable thereto is a plus.

Experience in a law firm, a consulting firm, or an in-house legal/HR department is preferred.

The position offers substantial opportunities to work with the firm's employment, corporate finance, financial institutions and general business practice groups. The role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to manage a challenging workload. Our Associate attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target) and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $205,000. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.
