As a Deputy Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:
- Framework Management: Assist in the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of Rapyd’s Compliance Management System.
- Regulatory Horizon Scanning: Monitor regulatory changes (financial, AML/CTF, data protection, etc.) across local market frameworks and assess their operational impact.
- Risk Assessments : Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design proactive mitigation strategies.
- Transaction & SAR Oversight: Oversee transaction monitoring and streamline the escalation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in coordination with the AML Officer.
- Compliance Culture & Training: Support internal training initiatives on compliance, financial ethics, and code of conduct to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Audits & Examinations: Participate in internal/external audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring swift, thorough responses and remediation plans.
- Regulatory Reporting : Prepare and submit mandatory regulatory filings and reports to the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC), UIAF, and other local authorities.
- Cross-Functional Synergy : Partner closely with legal, risk, technology, and product teams to ensure compliance controls are embedded naturally into our processes.
- Documentation & Controls: Maintain precise, up-to-date compliance records, policy documentation, and internal control maps. Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Mandatory AML/CTF Training: At least 150 hours of documented training in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) risk management through specialization programs, diplomas, seminars, or formal coursework.
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on compliance experience, preferably within a regulated financial institution, fintech, or payment entity (SEDPE).
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) and UIAF regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and top-tier written and verbal communication skills.
- Nice-to-Have: Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent local compliance credentials.
