Full job description
We are looking for an Aluminum TIG welder who will support the manufacturing and fabrication process of Sportsman Boats with emphasis on aluminum.
What you will do:
-
Build t-tops, rod holders, leaning posts, etc. meeting high quality standards and daily production goals
-
Lay out, measure, and align metal work pieces prior to welding
-
Assess welds to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes
-
Read and interpret weld codes and blueprints
-
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to address issues
-
Work as a team
To be considered you must have:
-
Aluminum tig welder knowledge and experience
-
Strong fabrication skills
-
Ability to assess metal structures to identify and initiate repair of damaged welds
-
Ability to follow instructions
-
Ability to use small tools, operating air/hand tools, welders, grinders and buffing machines
-
Close tolerance when measuring; strong attention to detail
-
Ability to meet deadlines
-
Ability to work as a team member
-
Ability to comply with safety guidelines
-
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment
-
Ability to complete a weld test during our onsite interview
-
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the marine/boating industry
