Overview

We're hiring Inventory Control Specialists for our Nashville manufacturing facility.

You'll kit the material that keeps production moving, pulling heavy, oversized steel components with forklifts and combi-lifts, then staging them at assembly, mechanical processing, and welding cells. Every move gets logged in the inventory system.

The job runs in two halves: material handling on the floor, and accurate transactions in the system.

Compensation

  • $25 – $28 / hr

  • Overtime available Hiring on Weekend Shift

  • Friday - Sunday: 5am - 5pm (work 36, paid for 40)

Responsibilities

  • Kitting: Pull and stage every component a job needs before production starts.
  • Material Delivery: Move steel components to assembly, machining, and weld cells.
  • Lift Operation: Handle heavy, oversized loads with forklifts and combi lifts.
  • Inventory Transactions: Log every material move in the system as it happens.
  • Receiving: Unload and stage incoming steel from inbound trucks.
  • Load Securing: Strap and block heavy loads before moving them.
  • Equipment Checks: Complete pre-shift inspections and report mechanical issues immediately.
  • Warehouse Organization: Organize storage areas to keep staging lanes clear. Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience operating large-capacity forklifts

  • Comfortable handling long, awkward steel loads

  • Basic rigging, strapping, and securement knowledge

  • Computer literacy for inventory transactions

  • Accurate record-keeping on every material move

  • Lift 50 lbs; bend, squat, climb frequently

  • Reliable attendance and overtime flexibility Preferred

  • Combi lift or side-loader experience

  • ERP experience: SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or Fulcrum

  • Prior inventory control or kitting background

  • Experience staging material for weld or assembly cells

  • Current forklift certification

  • 5+ years in manufacturing or yard environments
