Insight Global is seeking a Senior Engineer – Power Systems for a leading energy innovation organization. This candidate will lead high-impact research and product development efforts around grid modernization, power systems optimization, and energy transition technologies while influencing long-term technology strategy and business roadmaps.
Day-to-Day:
Lead strategic research programs and electrical technology roadmaps
Partner with internal executives, business leaders, universities, and external collaborators
Develop disruptive technologies from concept to product introduction
Drive technology demonstrations and innovation initiatives
Provide technical leadership across electrification, renewables, and power businesses

Skills and Requirements
PhD in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems with 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 14+ years of experience
8+ years leading technical teams and deploying electrical systems into production environments
Deep expertise in power system operations, controls, protection, optimization, markets, planning, and dynamics
Experience with PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, DigSilent, Python, and C+Proven experience taking technologies from concept through commercialization Cross-functional leadership experience
Industrial electrical systems background
AI/ML, cybersecurity, power electronics, or electrical machine knowledge
Strong publication and conference presentation history
