Full job description

Position Summary

Entry-level position in the Chemill Department. This role supports chemical milling operations and may lead to advancement opportunities such as Chemill Operator or other forge operator roles within the department.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with chemical milling preparation, including part identification, tagging, and handling.

  • Count, inspect, and prepare metal parts before and after chemical milling processing.

  • Clean and maintain work areas, tanks, racks, and equipment.

  • Load and unload parts into chemical baths, rinse tanks, and etching stations according to safety procedures.

  • Monitor process flow and communicate abnormalities to operators or supervisors.

  • Perform light grinding, masking, or de-masking as needed for part preparation.

  • Safely operate basic support equipment such as hoists, wash stations, and drying units.

  • Assist in maintaining chemical bath levels and ensuring proper labeling of chemicals.

  • Follow all hazardous material handling and PPE requirements in the chemical area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

Technical Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds throughout the shift. 

  • Ability to read production instructions in English. 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand uptothree hours at a time and during an 8-10hoursshift. 

  • Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead.  

  • Useshands to grind metal parts. 

  • Must be able tolift upto 40 pounds. 

  • Must be able to work in a heated environment.
