Job Duties

Summary

The Project Lead is responsible for executing the company’s goals and objectives to meet project deadlines effectively and efficiently. They are responsible for the continual assessment of project processes to ensure the team is operating at the highest level of speed and quality to meet client expectations. The Project Lead demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Ensures and enforces safety requirements and documentation.

Responsible for layout and organization of physical workstations to maximize workflow and fluid production

Troubleshoots missing parts, conflicting information, etc.

Trains new employees and coaches existing employees on proper procedures and proper use of equipment

Responsible for the upkeep, accuracy and communication of the program work schedule with building manager

Accountable for fluid productivity throughout the assembly and packaging process

Be a change agent for driving out waste throughout the assemblies and packaging process

Leads the team while reinforcing productivity and quality driven objectives

Drives a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making

Ensures equipment is maintained, while maximizing equipment’s efficiency

Responsible for production numbers and quality auditing

Will be required to participate with daily production as workloads dictate

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required

Education/Certification

High School Diploma or GED.

Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalent

Minimum Experience Required

Experience

1-3 years lead experience in assembly, packaging or manufacturing environment

Experience providing daily work direction to hourly/shift workers

Experience using Microsoft Office Products

Forklift certified, or ability to obtain forklift operating certificate
