Full job description

Job Title: Design Engineer II

Location: Seminole, OK

Type: Direct Hire

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Design new product and support all phases of the product lifecycle, including development, testing, and manufacturing.

  • Analyze customer requirements and develop engineering solutions to meet project specifications.

  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, test plans, and reports.

  • Support DFX efforts, focusing on design to cost, manufacturability, and reliability.

  • Conduct testing in research and development labs, and analyze test data to validate designs.

  • Communicate project status and technical issues effectively with stakeholders.

  • Assist in proposal preparation and customer presentations, interacting with clients and suppliers on technical matters.

  • Maintain proper documentation and project files in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and business development teams.

  • Make recommendations for design, process improvements, or cost reductions based on testing and analysis.

  • Support existing product lines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field required.

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in developing aerospace environmental control system components and systems.

  • Experience with RTCA/DO-160 standards and awareness of aerospace Supplemental Type Certification (STC) process preferred.

  • Proficiency with 3D modeling and drawing tools such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk; certification is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of CAD design and analysis tools.

  • Experience with environmental control systems and aerospace components.

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and documentation practices.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Project and Outlook.

  • Ability to work onsite in Seminole, OK, and travel domestically and internationally up to 5%.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
