ACTIVE IRS MBI IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THIS POSITION
TriTech Enterprise Systems (TriTech) is seeking a 'Kafka Developer' to support a federal project. This developer will design and develop IRS/MeF Mod microservices using Spring Boot, Kafka, JAX-RS services, JPA/Hibernate, and Red Hat OpenShift. In addition, this candidate will perform unit and integration testing, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain Java components as needed.
The IRS/MeF is a platform for electronically filing returns with the IRS. It provides SOA-based web services that filers use to submit returns and provides web applications for IRS users to work with the returns. MeF validates filed returns, determines their disposition, and interfaces with other IRS systems to process them downstream. IBM has developed and enhanced MeF since 2001.
Primary Duties:

Design and develop Java/JEE components using KAFKA, Spring REST Services, Spring Boot – 70%

Perform unit and development-level integration testing as needed – 20%

Perform code maintenance based on needs of IBM testing, customer testing, and production issues – 10%
Required Skills/Level of Experience:
