We are seeking applicants for an Environmental Specialist in our International Falls, Minnesota Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.
Job Information:
Key priorities may include NPDES and Title V Air Permit Management, Ash Land Application Program, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Above Ground Storage (AST) Tank Permit, Accident/Incident Investigations, Environmental Training, Risk Management Plan (RMP) Management, agency reporting and interface, and overall environmental compliance management.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with mill operations as they relate to environmental principals.
The position will develop, implement, and maintain systems to ensure compliance with Facility, Corporate, Local, State, and Federal requirements of the facilities air, waste, and water programs.
Responsible for permitting plans for environmental programs.
Lead the environmental review process surrounding capital projects.
Assistance with multimedia environmental projects as needed within the department.
Interface with regulatory agencies, as needed, on compliance and/or enforcement issues.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be organized and able to communicate effectively.
Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have a valid and current driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field.
At least 3 years of experience in the Environmental Field.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary range for position: $85,000 to $125,000.
Paid Vacation.
Paid Holidays.
Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
