Monmouth University is seeking candidates for an On-Call Camp/Clinic Athletic Trainer. The candidate would be expected to provide athletic training services and medical coverage for Monmouth University summer camps and clinics. This candidate will be expected to do field set up, first aid and emergency care, as well as field break down. Athletic Training room will be accessible for emergencies and athletic trainer will be provided with an EAP for the camp's specific location. This athletic trainer will work collaboratively with coaches and Monmouth athletic training staff to create a safe and positive camp experience.

This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate would be expected to:

  • Provide on-site athletic training services for assigned summer camps and clinics.

  • Evaluate and manage acute injuries and illnesses.

  • Administer first aid, emergence care and appropriate treatment.

  • Activate and implement EAP when necessary.

  • Monitor environmental conditions (heat, lightening).

On-Call Camp/Clinic Athletic Trainers are required to pass a background screening and complete mandatory compliance trainings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current NATABOC certification.

  • Current certification in Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer, Community First Aid and Safety or equivalent.

  • New Jersey State Licensure for Athletic Training.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
