This person will support day-to-day operations inside a 24x7 mission-critical data center facility, helping keep critical systems and services online for customers and end users. Responsibilities will include installing, racking, maintaining, troubleshooting, and decommissioning servers, network devices, and storage equipment. They will also support copper/fiber cabling work, including Cat6/Cat6a termination and testing, monitor/report environmental conditions, work through tickets, and interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams as needed.

Skills and Requirements

  • 6+ months of relevant experience working in an enterprise-class data center environment (open to non-data center experience such as telecom, commercial/industrial construction, oil & gas, etc.)

 • Basic understanding of data center hardware and cabling, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and working with copper/fiber cables (Cat6/Cat6a)

 • High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license/reliable transportation, and ability to pass extensive background check/drug screen

 • Ability to handle physical requirements including frequent lifting, climbing ladders, walking, and standing for long periods

 • Strong customer communication skills / professional presence, process-oriented/detail-oriented mindset, and reliability/punctuality

 • Open to flexible/non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation • Server experience is a plus, along with familiarity with ticketing systems and data center best practices

 • Additional industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, HP, etc.

 • Experience installing and performing basic configuration of software and services

 • Prior experience interacting directly with customers, end users, external partners, and vendors

 • Environmental condition monitoring/reporting experience within a data center setting
