Full job description

RGP is seeking a Senior Manager with deep expertise in Workday Financials to support and lead client-facing consulting engagements. In this role, you will partner with client finance, accounting, and IT leaders to design, implement, optimize, and support Workday Financial Management solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor, combining strong functional finance knowledge with hands-on Workday configuration experience.

As a consulting leader, you will balance strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on delivery, supporting multiple clients, projects, or workstreams. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly understand client business models, navigate complex environments, and deliver high-quality Workday Financials solutions that drive measurable business value.

  • Lead and support Workday Financials implementations, enhancements, and optimization initiatives for RGP clients across industries

  • Serve as a functional lead or workstream owner for core Workday Financials modules, spanning Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, Banking & Settlement, Reporting, Foundational Data Model (FDM), and Professional Services Automation (PSA), as applicable to the engagement.

  • Partner with client stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions

  • Design and configure Workday business processes, validations, calculations, security, and reporting aligned to client requirements and best practices

  • Advise clients on Workday Financials capabilities, release impacts, and opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting

  • Lead or support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Oversee data validation and support financial data conversions as needed

  • Support project planning, risk identification, and issue resolution across concurrent engagements

  • Contribute to documentation, including configuration workbooks, business process designs, and client-facing deliverables

  • Provide day-to-day client support while also helping drive longer-term roadmap and optimization efforts

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Hands-on Workday Financials experience in a consulting and/or large enterprise environment

  • Strong proficiency in 2–3 Workday Financials modules, such as Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Assets, PSA, Reporting, FDM, or Banking & Settlement

  • Demonstrated experience leading Workday Financials workstreams or projects of moderate to significant complexity

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting operations, controls, and reporting

  • Ability to work hands-on in Workday while also providing strategic guidance to clients

  • Proven project management skills, including managing priorities, timelines, risks, and dependencies

  • Workday Financials certification(s) - nice to have

  • Prior experience in professional services or advisory consulting - nice to have
