Full job description

Classiq Technologies is a quantum software company based in Tel Aviv. We provide a full-stack platform (IDE, high-level language, compiler, and execution stack) for designing, compiling, and running quantum algorithms. Backed by 70 patents, our technology automates quantum programming and turns functional intent into executable quantum circuits. Our core compiler technology scales quantum algorithms from concept to implementation, making quantum software development faster and more practical.

About The Role

High-level quantum programming language, coupled with deep quantum-specific compilation technology, can enable transformative improvements in the efficiency and quality of quantum executables. As a Quantum Compilation Product Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of research, product, and engineering. You will shape the technical direction of Classiq’s compilation stack and quantum library by identifying high-impact advances in quantum compilation, optimization, algorithms, and software abstractions, then translating them into shipped platform capabilities.

We are looking for an exceptionally strong technical candidate.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging techniques in quantum compilation, optimization, algorithms, and software abstractions.
  • Translate research insights into product direction, technical specifications, benchmarks, and shipped capabilities for the compiler, language, and library.
  • Collaborate across compiler, algorithms, applications, and product teams to align technical capabilities with user and market needs.
  • Communicate technical direction through analyses, specifications, documentation, and presentations to internal stakeholders and external developers.
  • The role may also involve external research collaborations, publications, patents, or experiments on real quantum hardware.

Who You Are

  • PhD or MSc/MA in Quantum Information, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Hands-on software development experience and strong software design skills, with proficiency in Python; C++ and/or Rust are an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of quantum computing, quantum algorithms, compilation, optimization techniques.
  • Ability to translate technical ambiguity into product direction, specifications, and delivery plans.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with researchers, engineers, customers, and product stakeholders.
  • Ability to technically research and assess competitors and the market.

Bonus points

  • Research experience in quantum algorithms, quantum compilation, circuit optimization, or quantum error correction.
  • Familiarity with quantum programming frameworks such as Qmod, Qiskit, PennyLane.
  • Exposure to DSL design, embedded languages, heterogeneous programming models such as OpenCL, CUDA, HPC, ML compiler stacks such as JAX or PyTorch, and general compiler technologies such as LLVM/MLIR
