Location: Norwalk, CA & Santa Clarita, CA

Pay: $50–$65 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday | School Hours

School Year: 2026–2027

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) to support students in school-based settings throughout Norwalk and Santa Clarita, CA for the 2026–2027 school year . This is an excellent opportunity for therapists who are passionate about helping students develop the skills needed to succeed academically and independently within the educational environment.

Position Overview

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess and address students' functional, developmental, sensory, and motor skill needs. Your expertise will help students Amergisize their participation and success in the classroom and school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school district guidelines

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for services

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions

  • Support students with fine motor, sensory processing, self-help, and adaptive skill development

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

  • Provide consultation and recommendations regarding classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment

Qualifications

  • Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred

  • Ability to manage caseloads and documentation effectively
