Job Description

The School Leader serves as the chief operator and culture leader of the school, responsible for academic quality, enrollment health, staff performance, family experience, and financial sustainability. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong balance of business acumen, instructional leadership, and relationship management.

This is an onsite position based in Richmond Hill, GA. This is a private, tuition based program.

Core Responsibilities

School Operations & Business Management

  • Own day-to-day operations of a private, tuition-based preschool including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and facility readiness

  • Drive enrollment growth and retention through tours, family engagement, and community visibility

  • Monitor enrollment trends, staffing ratios, and labor planning to ensure financial health

  • Partner with ownership on forecasting, tuition strategy, and operational improvements

  • Ensure the campus is consistently tour-ready, safe, and well-maintained

Academic & Program Leadership

  • Set clear expectations for classroom quality, routines, and developmental appropriateness

  • Coach teachers through observations, feedback, and professional development

  • Support curriculum implementation with a strong focus on infant and toddler development

  • Step into classrooms when needed to support ratios, model best practices, or stabilize coverage

People Leadership & Culture Building

  • Hire, onboard, train, and retain high-quality educators and support staff

  • Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, and care

  • Conduct performance check-ins, corrective coaching, and recognition

  • Develop internal talent pipelines, including preparing future leaders

Family & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the primary leader-facing families, managing communication, concerns, and trust-building

  • Create a welcoming, service-oriented parent experience from tour through graduation

  • Represent the school within the local community and with referral partners

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to all state licensing, health, and safety regulations

  • Maintain inspection readiness, documentation, and staff training compliance

  • Lead emergency preparedness, incident response, and mandated reporting processes

Skills and Requirements

-Proven Leadership experience in an educational setting

-Hands on experience working through the Georgia Pre-K Program requirements

-Associates Degree is required; Bachelors Degree is preferred

-Hands on experience in an early childhood education setting is required

-Director-qualified per GA childcare requirements or ability to become qualified -Experience working in a tuition based program is preferred
