Maintenance Engineer

Beacon, NY $25-$32/hr 3-6 Month Contract Project 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Join a Hands-On Maintenance Team

We're seeking a mechanically inclined Maintenance Engineer to support a growing manufacturing operation on a project-based assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals who enjoy troubleshooting machinery, solving mechanical problems, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently.

You'll work with a variety of industrial equipment including motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, belt-driven systems, and other production machinery while supporting preventative maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

  • Inspect machinery and identify wear before failures occur

  • Diagnose mechanical issues involving motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, and related components

  • Support basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting

  • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical diagrams

  • Document maintenance activities and repairs

  • Work closely with production teams to keep equipment operating efficiently

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintenance best practices

Qualifications

  • Industrial maintenance, maintenance mechanic, or maintenance technician experience

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, rollers, and power transmission systems

  • Preventative maintenance experience

  • Basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
