Shift Details:

Dental Assistant (Oral Surgery) Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Assist oral surgeons with surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, none grafts, and IV sedation cases.

Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory, and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control protocols.
-
Monitor and reassure patients before, during and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
-
Take and process dental radiographs, including panoramic and CBCT imaging (if certified).

Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers.
-
Manage surgical inventory, prepare surgical trays, and order supplies as needed.

Supports sedation and anesthesia setup (IV or nitrous) and recovery process under supervision.

Collaboration with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience.
**Minimum Qualifications **

Current, valid, and unrestrictedNJ license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum one (1) - two (2) years of dental assisting experience.

Oral surgery experience.
-
IV sedations & Nitrous Oxide highly recommended.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
-
CPR Certification.
-
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
-
IV sedations, & Nitrous Oxide highly recommended.

CPR or BLS Certification.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
