Industrial Maintenance Technicien - Facilities Focus (MCT2 + Facilities)

Location: Devens, MA

The Opportunity

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our corrugated packaging facility, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Leveraging your maintenance expertise, you will collaborate with maintenance leadership, production operators, vendors, and the corporate reliability team to ensure our building, grounds, and manufacturing assets remain in optimal condition and support the achievement of our production goals.

Devens is a non-union facility. Maintenance team members must be flexible and available to work weekends and off-shifts as needed to support plant operations.

How You Will Help Us

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced corrugated packaging manufacturing environment.

  • Maintain plant infrastructure, including building systems, grounds, and facility equipment.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime and support production needs.

  • Execute preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, wear measurements, component alignment and repositioning, and equipment inspections.

  • Monitor equipment operation by observing performance, vibration, temperature, and noise levels to identify and address potential issues.

  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

  • Share technical knowledge and help train less experienced maintenance team members.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

  • Strong facilities maintenance experience, including building systems and industrial infrastructure.

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, and schematics.

  • Thorough understanding and practical application of precision maintenance principles.

  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance work-order systems.

  • Working knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement practices.

  • Ability and willingness to operate forklifts, hoists, and other material handling or lifting equipment as required.

  • Commitment to performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks and supporting plant needs as priorities change.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience

  • Five or more years of experience maintaining and repairing large industrial manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing, packaging, converting, paper, corrugated, or similar production environments preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A valid Massachusetts Fireman\u2019s License is highly desirable. Candidates without a license must be willing to obtain a Massachusetts Second-Class Fireman's License, with company support and sponsorship.

The starting rate is $30 - $40 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
