Job Description
PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known reputable company in Lewisport, KY.
We are now accepting resumes for a Scrap Segregation Associate who is a team player, versatile, and dependable!
Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screen
Hours & Shift:
6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Monday to Friday
Duties & Accountabilities
Sort and separate scrap materials according to established recycling and disposal procedures.
Identify and classify different types of scrap materials, including metal, plastic, cardboard, and hazardous waste.
Ensure proper placement of scrap materials in designated containers, bins, or storage areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scrap yard or recycling area.
Monitor scrap accumulation and coordinate removal or pickup as needed.
Record and report scrap volumes, weights, and disposal activities.
Follow environmental, safety, and company regulations related to waste handling and recycling.
Work Environment:
You will be working in a non-temperature-controlled facility.
Temperatures may fluctuate depending on the weather and operational activities.
Expect exposure to industrial conditions, such as noise, dust, and moving machinery.
This is a very fast paced work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Ability to perform physical tasks involving extended periods of standing, lifting, bending stooping, handling materials, repetitive motions.
Comfortable working in varying temperature environments.
May wear PPE (personal protective equipment) for long periods.
Steel Toe Boots are required.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
