Job overview

Belcan is hiring an Airfoils-Staff Responsible Engineer. The Staff Responsible Engineer will own the end-to-end requirements development, design, analysis, testing, qualification, and lifecycle management of hardware. This role involves performing hand calculations and straightforward FEA/CFD tasks, with a focus on the aerodynamic design of axial-compressor and turbine airfoils across the engine. The engineer will collaborate with other Responsible Engineers and Analysts to define interfaces, manage interactions, and derive loads and response characteristics.

Key focus areas include Take sole ownership of hardware development from clean-sheet through high rate production across multiple components, Collaborate with other REs to define interface requirements and manage coupled interactions, and Collaborate with Analysts to derive loads, environments, and response characteristics of your hardware across its operating envelope.

Successful candidates bring Bachelor's In Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor's In Aerospace Engineering, and 4-8 Years Turbomachinery Aerodynamic Design. Important skills include Hand Calculations, FEA, CFD, Axial Compressor Aerodynamic Design, Turbine Aerodynamic Design, and Numerical Methods. Preferred (not required): Aeromechanics Exposure.
