Full job description

At Perplexity AI, we are building products that push the boundaries of how people find, reason, and learn information. The scale and speed of our mission demand a team that thrives in environments of rapid iteration and constant discovery. As a Recruiter, you will be at the forefront of shaping the talent foundation that fuels our growth.

This is not a traditional Recruiting role. We are looking for a builder with strong technical grounding, a genuine passion for the craft of sourcing, and the ability to operate with creativity and precision in an environment where constant change and ambiguity is the norm. You will partner closely with hiring managers, and engineers to identify, engage, and inspire world-class talent, helping build a team capable of solving some of the most challenging problems in AI today. Just as importantly, you will use AI to automate and augment your own workflow, treating sourcing as a system to be engineered rather than a set of manual tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Full-cycle recruitment for engineering and research roles across EMEA Search, AI and Infrastructure

  • Build outbound first pipelines: advanced research, talent mapping across frontier labs and academia, referrals, AI-assisted automation, and creative outreach

  • Partner with hiring managers and engineers to calibrate profiles with accuracy and nuance, and to sharpen the bar as our teams evolve

  • Act as a candidate's first introduction to Perplexity, telling an authentic and compelling story about our mission, product, and culture

  • Track and analyze pipeline data to continuously improve sourcing strategy, and build your own tooling where off-the-shelf falls short

  • Operate with agility as priorities shift hard-to-fill roles, new pillars, and compressed timelines are the norm

What You Bring

  • 4 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience

  • A sourcing-first track record: you fill hard roles through outbound and talent mapping

  • Strong technical literacy comfortable, holding credible conversations with senior engineers

  • A builder's instinct for AI: eager to adopt new tools, automate your own workflow, and experiment with how AI can make recruiting faster and sharper

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners

  • A mindset that thrives on curiosity, iteration, and impact, aligned with Perplexity's ethos of building what has never been built before
