Full job description

Employment Type: Full time Shift:

Description: * Warms up and performs QA tests on simulator, CT, BAT and treatment equipment following established procedures prior to daily use. Reports any deviation to the physicist.

  • Uses radiation detection equipment in a safe and careful manner.

  • Inspects ancillary devices prior to use. Reports any problems to appropriate person.

  • Verifies functioning of the radiation detectors.

  • Checks blocks for proper orientation and accuracy before filming.

  • Performs weekly QA on simulator and treatment equipment folowing established procedures.

  • Assists in maintenance of the dark room. Report any problems to the appropriate person for corrections.

  • Maintains accurate records of all equipment service/function/maintenance etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an AMA accredited school of Radiation Therapy is required.
  • Knowledge of principles, techniques and methodology of radiation therapy is required.
  • Behavior and personality conducive to working with cancer patients is necessary.

LICENSURE

  • Current State of Florida License as a Certified Radiology Technologist (CRT)
  • ARRT (T) or eligible
  • Current BLS Certification Required
