As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.

Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
