About Us F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.

Job Description Role:
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing on-ground implementation of environmental and agroforestry projects, conducting site surveys, and ensuring that infrastructure activities align with quality, design, and safety standards. This role requires frequent travel to field sites outside Pune and close coordination with operations teams, vendors, and clients.
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed site surveys and assessments for biodiversity and water conservation infrastructure

Lead on-site execution of construction activities as per project plans and timelines

Manage and monitor manpower and workforce performance, ensuring high-quality outputs
-
Oversee project planning, estimation, budgeting, and execution across multiple sites

Coordinate regularly with clients and stakeholders, providing timely updates and feedback
-
Liaise with vendors and contractors to manage procurement and timely delivery of materials
-
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
-
Identify on-site issues proactively and implement solutions to avoid project delays

Leverage technical knowledge in water management and environmental engineering to ensure sustainability and compliance

Collaborate with field teams and internal departments to align execution with F4F’s long-term environmental goals
Requirements Who We’re Looking For

Someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

2 to 4 years of experience in a similar field, preferably in rural and environmental projects

Strong project management, technical, and site management skills

Ability to manage teams, handle field-level challenges, and coordinate multiple tasks

Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
-
Proficient in MS Office tools and able to create professional reports and presentations

Willingness to travel regularly to project locations outside Pune
-
Passionate about ecological restoration, rural development, and sustainability
Location
Pune, Maharashtra (Requires regular travel to field sites)
