Full job description

System One is working with a client to find an Avionics Tech Level 1

(Day Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test avionics and electronic components.

  • Perform functional testing using approved test equipment and procedures.

  • Interpret CMMs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Perform soldering, component replacement, and circuit board repair as required.

  • Complete work in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.

  • Accurately complete work orders, inspection documentation, and repair records.

  • Identify discrepancies and communicate findings to supervisors or engineering.

  • Maintain proper handling of ESD-sensitive components.

  • Ensure proper care and calibration of test equipment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with FOD and safety procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience working with avionics systems, electronic assemblies, or aircraft components.

  • Associate's degree or certification in Avionics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

  • Experience with electronic troubleshooting and testing equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and work order tracking.

  • Strong communication skills for documenting work and interacting with team members.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed.

  • Knowledge of CMM procedures and aviation regulatory requirements (preferred).

  • IPC solder certification or equivalent electronics repair experience (preferred).

  • Experience with avionics test benches or automated test equipment (preferred).

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.

  • Good manual dexterity for precision electronic work.

  • Ability to work with small components and fine wiring.
