Jackson Public Schools - Custodian
We are hiring substitute custodians. No previous experience is required!
Remember that school district employee who made a difference in your life? Now it’s your turn! Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day in a safe and clean environment. Substitute custodians may also be referred to as custodial workers or maintenance workers.

Essential Functions:

Remove litter and waste paper from classrooms, offices, and grounds; and deposit in provided receptacles

Maintain carpet and other floor surfaces
-
Clean windows, light fixtures, venetian blinds, walks, storage rooms, unity rooms, and restrooms

Performs minor maintenance repairs to building and equipment
-
Report any needed repairs and malfunctions to maintenance for correction

Perform other related duties as requested or assigned

Attend any professional development activities as needed
Minimum requirements:

At least 18 years of age or older

Valid Fingerprints

PERS Retirees Allowed

Ability to understand and carry out instructions

Willing to learn and accept responsibility

Previous experience preferred

Heavy lifting 50-75 lbs.
