About the RoleAs the Director of Electrical Engineering at Blendid, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing and driving the electrical engineering efforts of our innovative food robotics systems. You will lead a talented team of electrical engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize the electrical components and systems that power Blendid’s robotic devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology and lead the advancement of our electrical engineering capabilities.The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering.Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the electrical engineering team; establish and drive the overall electrical engineering strategy- Electrical System Design and Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems; collaborate with other engineering disciplines for seamless integration- Product Innovation and Improvement: Explore and implement new technologies to enhance performance and efficiency; drive continuous improvement initiatives- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product management, and manufacturing to achieve product development goals- Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards and regulations- Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with the executive team to establish and manage budgets and resources- Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, set timelines, and monitor progress to meet milestones and deadlinesAbout You- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Ph.D. a plus)- 8+ years in electrical engineering with leadership/management experience- Strong expertise in electrical systems for complex mechatronic devices or robotics; knowledge of control systems, circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems- Experience with simulation tools, prototyping, testing methodologies; familiarity with safety and regulatory standards
