Job Description:

GDIT is looking for an Enterprise Solutions Architect specializing in Microsoft Azure to support the HHS Office of Inspector General in the Northern Virginia or Maryland area​.

As an Azure Enterprise Solutions Architect, you’ll architect and implement cloud solutions that transform federal IT infrastructure. You will apply technical knowledge and expertise across multiple teams to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, drive POCs/MVPS, and ensure long term technical viability of cloud migrations, leveraging key technologies where appropriate.

PLEASE NOTE : This position is contingent upon contract award, expected to start in September/October 2026.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Design, develop, and deliver Azure-based cloud infrastructure and application platform solutions for HHS OIG’s IT portfolio.

  • Model cloud architecture for scale, resiliency, and security; optimize performance and cost.

  • Lead modernization and migration strategies aligned with enterprise and security requirements.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional agile teams and government stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

  • Maintain documentation and technical artifacts; ensure compliance with government standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

Bring your expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT must have:

Citizenship : US Citizen (must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship at time of offer accept)

Security Clearance level: Public Trust clearance required; must pass a background check

Certification(s) : Microsoft Certified - Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Engineering, or related field

Years’ Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading, and delivering cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects.

  • At least 8 years of experience in more than one of the following technical domains: Core Infrastructure, Application Development, Data and Analytics, and Low Code/No Code.

Technical Skills : Experience in AI and Data Analytics (e.g. Microsoft certifications in AI engineer, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, etc.)

  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Location : HYBRID - Preferred in-office presence 3x/week (Northern Virginia or Maryland). A maximum of 20% of the work will be conducted at the Government site in Washington, DC.

  • Federal contracting or HHS customer experience preferred

  • Ability to drive technical roadmaps and collaborate across teams

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
