BACKGROUND

Oscilar is seeking an India Site Lead to build and lead our India organization across software engineering and, over time, product management.

In this role, you will shape how we scale the India team across people, process, and execution. You will partner closely with leadership in the US, help establish strong operating rhythms across distributed teams, and raise the bar on delivery, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who has either led strong software engineering teams or worked deeply in product management in technical environments, ideally in fintech. Entrepreneurial instincts are important. The right person should be energized by building teams, creating structure from ambiguity, and scaling a high-talent organization in a fast-moving company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Site leadership: Serve as the senior on-the-ground leader for Oscilar in India, helping build a high-trust, high-performance extension of the broader organization.

• Team leadership: Lead managers and/or senior individual contributors across backend engineering, analytics, integrations, and adjacent product teams as the India organization grows.

• Operational excellence: Implement and refine scalable workflows across planning, execution, quality, and incident follow-through while maintaining a high bar for predictable delivery.

• Cross-functional impact: Partner closely with product and executive leadership to align technical roadmaps with broader business goals through strong estimation, prioritization, and execution.

• Process design: Establish operating rhythms that improve collaboration across time zones, clarify ownership, and increase engineering effectiveness without creating unnecessary overhead.

• Talent and leadership development: Hire, coach, and retain high-caliber talent while building a strong local leadership bench across engineering and product.

• Technical quality: Raise the bar on technical judgment, design quality, reliability, observability, and service ownership across the India team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Significant experience leading software engineering and/or product teams in technical organizations.

• Strong track record managing technical teams and managers.

• Demonstrated operational excellence, including disciplined planning processes and a high bar for predictable, high-quality execution.

• Strong experience designing or improving team processes, delivery workflows, and cross-functional operating models.

• Strong technical judgment and enough engineering depth to evaluate architecture, execution risk, and engineering quality with credibility.

• Strong product sense and comfort partnering on roadmap, sequencing, trade-offs, and customer/business impact.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with experience working across distributed teams.

• Experience building teams and operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

• Experience in fintech, fraud, credit risk, AML, compliance, or other regulated industries is a strong plus.

• Prior founder, startup, or entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
