Casual Physical Therapist (PRN) - Muncy Place

Join UPMC Muncy Place as a Casual (PRN) Physical Therapist and make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Casual (PRN) role with daylight hours

  • Minimum commitment of one weekend per month

  • Rotating holiday coverage

  • Opportunity to pick up additional weekday hours

  • Ideal for candidates seeking flexibility-adaptability strongly preferred

Role Overview

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, developing individualized care plans that support recovery and functional independence. You'll work collaboratively with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial evaluations, reassessments, and treatment interventions

  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and progress

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to communicate patient status

  • Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to optimize care delivery

  • Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharges

  • Complete charging and productivity documentation in alignment with department standards

  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities

  • Support department needs through occasional rotation across treatment areas

Professional Development

  • Maintain current licensure through continuing education and professional growth

  • Opportunity to serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, residents, or fellows

Education & Knowledge

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
